Plan a Weekend Ride Close to Home

A nearby route can offer a different view of places you already know. You do not need an ambitious destination to make a weekend outing feel worthwhile.

Pick one simple destination

Choose a park entrance, a familiar meeting point or another place where riding and parking are permitted. Check the route before leaving, including any sections where you may need to walk the bike.

Leave time for the return

Build the plan around the whole trip, with room for stops and changes in the weather. If you are going with a friend, agree on the pace and route beforehand. Keep the outing flexible and enjoy what is close by.
